How it all Began

from 14 stone drayman to 11 stone fitness guru.

A few years ago, my life was unrecognisable from what it is now. I was a drayman for the brewery and spent my days driving from pub to pub manhandling barrels of beer. I went to the gym 5 times a week, played rugby and was a football referee. I was generally fit and strong. I had to be. Those barrels weighed over 50 kilos! But still, I didnt feel quite right. I weighed over 14 stone and had developed a bad back.

I decided to take control of my life. I took my redundancy and decided to make a real effort to get myself into shape. My first step was to join a local ‘bootcamp’. Although I didn’t lose weight immediately, I detected subtle changes in my body shape. I began to feel generally fitter. After a few months, the instructor became unwell and I was invited by the other members to take over.

I loved the whole experience and quickly realised that this was to be my destiny. Within a matter of weeks (not forgetting a few punishing sessions in temperatures as low as -12 degrees), Mark Lewis the Personal Trainer was born. What’s more, I’d lost almost 3 stone! Since those early days, the business has gone from strength to strength. I now hold Bootcamps at The Obelisk Centre in Kingsthorpe 4 times a week and Earls Barton 2 times a week. I also help clients achieve a wide range of goals including:

  • Weight loss
  • Fat loss
  • Improved muscle tone
  • Preperation for personal challenges such as The London Marathon,The London to Paris bike ride and Tough Mudder.

These sessions take place in their homes, at their place of work, local parks or local gyms.

My list of happier, fitter and slimmer clients is growing week by week and I’ve reached many of my goals. Visit my Home Page to find out how I can help you reach yours.
